Kuala Terengganu is my state capital,even thought it’s the state capital and administration center and like all town and all Villages in terengganu is unaffected by the hustle and bustle of a big city, thus making it a special place for those who alway wish a carefree and slow-good relaxing time!

Beaches in Marang
The beaches in Marang is a one of the beautiful quite beach in Terengganu and it is hily regarded as the best place to see the sunset and also to photograph the most spectacular sunrise and sunset in Terengganu. This place also offer a the most suitable spot for couple and family to walk leisurely along the long white beaches of Marang with the many Rhu tree and coconut palm swaying with the gentle and refreshing breeze . Visitor can see the Malay Tradisional fishing boat lining up along the beaches and the many fishing boat that arrive and go from The Marang Fishing Village.
There are many activites can be done here and many budget and high end resort here as they are only one beach which is the Pantai Marang or Pantai Kelulut to the local villager.

Dungun is just as well known for its beautiful beaches as its fishing villages. Which is just an hour’s drive from Kuala Terengganu.They are many thing that can be say about these beaches ant its speciality like scenic view and such. In Dungun District you can find four Beautiful beaches which is unique in its own way such as : Teluk Bidara,Pantai Paka,and Tanjung Jara

Kemaman is known for its the petroleum refine activities in Kerteh and the Kemaman Port which is a few kilometres outside the town centre is the main port to anchor the large oil tankers anchor.
Besides being a port city, there also the Ma’ Daerah Turtle Sanctuary Centre, which you can visit. located 1.7km sandy beach surrounded by coastal hill forest, is a newly established hatchery and interpretation centre for the conservation of sea turtles under the sponsorship of BP Petronas Acetyls Sdn. Bhd. Kemaman is also famous for its delicious seafood and traditional delicacies from the sea and most importantly the Biggest glowfly sanctuary in Malaysia in Sungai Ibok,11km from Chukai Town

Beaches In Setiu

They are a lot of thing that can be say about the beaches here at the Setiu coastline. Some of them it the only place with many great fishing spot, Sea Food, aquaculture + tourism,Bater fish /Tempura of Penarik, Firefly sanctuary, it got Kampung Mengadang Lekor – the best and the most delicious keropok lekor in the northern Terengganu and some say it the best in Terengganu with Losong,and Seberang Takir. ( Well it based on how accustomed you are with your Keropok Lekor)
Ok! enough Crap.
The mangrove forest and the ocean near the coastline of Setiu, provide a large nursery grounds for young fish and hunting grounds for the many large game fish and ray, otters and to the many assortment of birds including the predators like eagles and owls. The Setiu beaches stretches from the Kuala Terengganu up till Besut.
with the many thing here it quite sadden that the many tourism opportunity in Setiu had lack promotion and were overshadow by the Redang Island and Pulau Bidong which in the coastline of Setiu District but the administrate of these island are run by the District officer from Kuala Terengganu District.
To the people who complain that the PBT in Setiu only care about Redang Island are not True as why they not much development in Setiu was because; Not much revenue that can be obtain by the local PBT of Setiu to run and manage and develop the district,and Redang are administrated by Kuala Terengganu PBT.
Still with the construction of the East –coast Highway, many local hope that its will be able to bring more investor to the district. Which in the end will benefit the industry in Setiu which are farming and fishing and some small scale tourism,e.g; in Penarik (Angler,Firefly sanctuary) and Merang (The gateway to Redang island) and especially the aquaculture industry. The aquaculture industry in Setiu are showing a lot of progress and future. I’m not surprise if one day, Setiu will be the largest aquaculture farm in Malaysia or even in the South East Asia as they are many projects and research that are being done here by the fishery Department and many local agency using new and advance technologies from Japan and many more countries. e.g; rearing salt water fish in a large sea lagoon or pen.

The Beaches in Besut

Kuala Besut is a scenic fishing village which is also the jumping off point to Pulau Perhentian. It is about 2 hour by road from Kuala Terengganu.The beache in Besut is the shortest in Terengganu about 15 -17 Km.The beache here are famous to the people of Kelantan and Terengganu for picnic, swim and also for snorkelling and cave exploration that can be found in one beache which is Pantai Bukit Keluang and Pantai Air Dalam.
