FIFTEEN years ago Peladang Setiu Agro tourism & Resort Sdn Bhd was merely a large farm with integrated agricultural activities coup with cattle rearing, oil palm plantation, orchard, nursery and herbal plantation was its only main source of income.The resort was built and planned to provide recreational activities for Agriculture Department staff and their families.Later it was to be develop the farm into a training camp, especially for government bodies and clubs, was abandoned in the 1990s by lack of funds.However, the demand for training camps prompted Peladang Setiu Agro tourism & Resort to upgrade its boarding facilities. Beside promoting the agro-tourism concept in Terengganu.

Despite offering the cheapest rates compared with similar establishments, the resort boasts excellent facilities for seminars, camping and other outdoor activities.Its 58 chalets are located amidst a large oil palm estate where visitor can see for them self how palm oil estate are manage. Here at the Agro resort visitor can find an orchard of local fruit that can just be pick up by hand and eaten right away as they don’t use any chemical in these place. They are a lot of activities that can be done here, as the resort guess can choose whether to go kayaking, boating or fishing in the scenic and lovely fresh water fish pond or join other water recreational activities at the resort. Beside that, they can also join for an open space recreational activities that can be found in the resort like archery and stuff.


Peladang Setiu Agro tourism & Resort Sdn Bhd is the number one choice for the gorverment and the corparat sector as the facility here with its large training camp can fit a lot of people. as it has a well facilitated training camp, a fresh-water fish pond, a campsite and an open space for recreational activities and many orther activites .


Peladang Setiu Agro tourism & Resort Sdn Bhd manager, Ahmad Sanusi Ibrahim, said the resort has 32 standard rooms, 20 standard specials, three deluxe, one deluxe family, one deluxe VIP and one VIP suite. The rates are between RM100 and RM350.For seminars and meetings, there are three big air-conditioned halls, which are equipped with whiteboard, flip charts and overhead projectors. These halls can accommodate 200 seating participants.The resort also has three big hostels or dormitories which can accommodate 120 persons at any one time and a large campsite area for those who want to stay out door with nature.

Here you will find that they restaurant which offers both local and continental food to fit the taste of the many guess.Among recreational activities are abseiling, rappelling from a 70-ft tower, jungle trekking, river crossing, kayak, obstacle crossing and games.


The Gunung Tebu Forest Reserve and the Hutan Lipur Lata Payung or Recreational Forest of Lata Payung are a great place for trekking, hiking and for recreational activities. Other places of interest include the arboretum, mini zoo and fruit garden.At night, the Food Court, beside the swimming pool, sells local delicacies

while on they trip to or from the nearby Gunung Tebu Forest Reserve and the Hutan Lipur Lata Payung ,for many fun activites like fishing and more with there family.

From Kuala Terengganu you can take the public transportation like bus at the Bus Terminal in Kuala Terengganu or the taxi to Permaisuri first before transferring from a taxi to the Agro resort. or you can take a taxi straight from Kuala Terengganu to the resort door steep.(don’t worry all the taxi driver know this resort )
