                          Also known as Kraftangan Malaysia Chendering, located just 600 meter from the famoust Floating Mosque. The Handicraft showcase Songket ,brassware and Morden batik fashionwear. (I’m really surprise at the going on of the batik fashion wear industry that I almost gulp my drink when I saw a few famous celebrities wearing them at the Oscar trough the live telecast at ASTRO channel last moth.) Here, you can find many Keris and woodcarving and other handicraft.

The Malaysian Handicraft Centre offer a wide variety of Malaysian handicraft and also an insight into various craft making. Some of the exquisite items, which can be found here, are Songket, batik, vases and mats, hats, wallets and bags made from pandanus leaves. Visitor are also get a chance to witness first hand skills of local artisans in songket weaving, batik painting, basket weaving, etc.

The famous Nasi Dagang in Trengganu is also located at Chendering, so don't missed to try this local delicacy while you were here. The dishes is made by cooking plain rice and glutinous rice together with fresh coconut milk. The Nasi Dagang is eaten with its own specially made side dishes of tuna fish curry and a light pickled cucumber vegetable. Besides being considered as the centre for handicraft and no 1 ,traditional textiles in Terengganu, it will also be worthwhile to visit the beautiful beaches of Chendering.

Terengganu can boast their songket skills as part of their handicraft productions where their designs are full of creativity and is prettily made which make them suitable to be worn. During the old days, songket is only worn by the royalties and dignitaries where songket is known as a work of art. During that time, traditional weaving is still in used to produce the designs and now songket has turn into a new leaf where it is now transformed into fashionable wear, the Malay traditional costume, scarves, handbags and pareos.

Noor Arfa Batik is a famous shop that sells everything related to Batik. They produce their own batik and sell them to public. The hand-drawn batik design is normally drawn using chanting pens that are filled with wax. Designs are being drawn using the wax before applying colors to the piece of cloth. In this craft complex, beautiful batiks are being showcased and souvenirs made of batik designs are also available here. The owner Hajjah Habibah or Bibah is the founder and master designer of Bibah Songket. Her songket today graces the interior of Mutiara Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Istana Melawati, Menara Tun Razak, Shangrila Hotel in Putrajaya, and Petronas University, just to name a few.
