Hutan Lipur Bumbung Raja are located at Kampong(village) Pasir Raja, Dungun, Daerah(District of ) Dungun which is a lowland Forest. The Bumbung Raja is unique as it’s the only recreational forest in Malaysia which situated just beside a village.

The most unique about this hutan Lipur is that it has a very wide river which are suitable for Kayaking and Rafting activity. There are many kind of public amenity, which also includes a Jungle trek, Concrete stair, and resting hut.

Beside that visitor can also have a picnic, camping, or have a dip at the cool shallow stream or at the. Here visitor can also take a stroll and see the wild life here while trekking along the jungle trek. There are also a lot of variety of bird here that Bumbung Raja is one of the place that are frequent by bird watcher (strangely there more Japanese bird watcher than the local and also a bunch of US, AUS, Europeans that frequently camp here.Most of the people came here either for Bird warching or Kayaking and Camping.

To reach here visitor can use your own car or take a taxi straight from the KT Airport/ City Kuala Terengganu or Kota Bharu to Hutan Lipur Bumbung Raja or transfer from taxi at Pekan Kuala Berang or Pekan Ajil (Both are small town and Make sure u stop first at Taman Kuang AJil, The Largest Pheasant Park in Malaysia)
